The boards of studies aim to ensure compliance with the established report of the current curriculum and the coordination of Lecturers who teach in the degree, in relation to the development of the training program of the degree, as well as coordination with other Study's Boards that they share the teaching of the basic subjects of the branch or branches of knowledge that belong to them ,(in Catalan) REGULATORY AGREEMENT 13866 of February 23^th 2021 approving the Regulations for the organization of official university courses (degree and master's degree) of the University of the Balearic Islands.

When gathered in plenary session, boards of studies' membership shall comprise the chair - who will be the dean, or his or her delegate -, the corresponding head of studies and all the lecturers who teach on the programme, one of which will be appointed as secretary by the chair.

The Faculty of Science, (in Catalan) Agreement 03/20 of July 17^th 2020 of the Faculty of Science Board, shall set up, for each board of studies, a standing committee which shall act as a liaison between the chair, the head of studies and the board of studies in the periods between board sessions. Likewise, this committee will act as an advisory body to the chair of the board of studies and the head of studies. It will be at least made up of the chair, the head of studies, the coordinators for the different academic years, and the board of studies' secretary. The head of the department that is assigned the most teaching in the programme, or the person he or she delegates, will also be a full right member of the standing committee.
