The faculty buildings are located to the south-east of the UIB campus on the Carretera de Valldemossa road, 7.5 kilometres from the city centre, in a privileged setting at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2010 in the 'cultural landscape' category.

The campus can be easily and sustainably reached via public transport or bike lane. Bus line 19 run by the Municipal Transport Authority or metro line M1 operated by the Railway Service of Majorca enable access to the campus from many different stops in the city of Palma; the interurban train and bus routes connect the city to other towns and villages across the island. Timetables should be checked regularly as they change at weekends, during non-teaching periods and over the summer.
